It’s that time of year again when the pumpkins go flyin’ and Good Shepherd’s Holy Smokers go to cookin’ for their biggest fundraiser of the year. Clay County’s 11th Annual Punkin’ Chunkin’ event takes place Saturday, October 19, 10:00am – 5:00 pm and Sunday, October 20, noon – 5:00pm. Holy Smokers will be serving brisket and pulled pork plates for the attending crowds to purchase and need volunteers to help with greeting customers, cashiering and/or serving food and water. There are sign-up sheets to volunteer in the information hallway.
